Show specific menu levels in joomla 1.5

Hello

Using the default layout for the module I've been trying to show only a specific menu level but with no success. Is there any way to achieve that?

I tried the suggestion from this link affiliatefeeds.nl/12-new-features-change...ted-menu-levels.html but it doesn't work and i suspect it's only for joomla 1.7 and above. Any way to achieve the same for j1.5?

single level menu's is only implemented for joomla 2.5

Time to start hacking and slashing then. I'm gonna try to create a module layout for a specific menu level.
