Rewrite urls

I guess I simply don't grasp the whole 'external links' idea. Where do I set these up? I tried to set up a 'Menu Item Alias', naming it Audio+en+video and linking it to the Audio&video menu-item, but it doesn't seem to direct to that menu-item.

I also tried the 'External URL' menu-item, but that doesn't have an input for a link to the destination menu-item.

Do you have a link to a tutorial? Or can you at least point me in the right direction?

Look closer. The external URL is the correct one.

By heart it's the third field on the left.

I believe we are talking different things...

I don't want to create a link to Audio+en+video.html, I want Audio+en+video.html (from the home page menu) to link to audiovideo.html (within the topmenu).

But perhaps if you explain me what you meant with

and you will only need one datafeeds menu item to cover it all

I would be able to continue from there.

Why do you need/want several datafeed menu items?

You can create and use one datafeeds menu to show everything.

If you want to redirect www.keuswijzer.nl/Audio+en+video.html (a datafeeds sublevel) to www.keuswijzer.nl/audiovideo.html ( a joomla menu) you will need a tool like sef404 or rule in your .htaccess

If you want to 'merge' 'audio en video' and 'audio video' a they appear on the left hand side of your home page you should use a filter during import.

I don't want to have a datafeed menu for each category, just for those showing at the top. The others can use one datafeed menu.

But for those that are listed in the top menu, I think it looks nicer if the right menu item gets activated when the user clicks the corresponding link in the link list at the home page.

Do I use the Itemid to direct the other links to that one datafeed menu? Now, all links direct to the 'Home page' tab, which uses another layout than I want to use.

I've got this error at mod_datamenu. test.multi-web.cz/slevove-servery/t-OMLA...sv%C3%A9+pleti+luxus !

test.multi-web.cz/

In right column I have datamenu set up to top5table_list Random you can refresh a you can see new items and sometimes it got crazzy url link with error when It went to detail of a item.

Is a possibility get url lin without diacritics and changed + empty spaces for -? And where I can change it.
Thanks
