[SOLVED 1560] Cannot Edit Feed.php was created by kazza
Hi
I am testing your software however I am unable to edit feed.php as you indicate in your instructions. I select the menu option view/edit callback featues however when I select it i can only view, i cannot type or edit anything, also there is no save button to make changes if I could? I have installed in two different sites, one is a fresh install with only your test feeds, problem same both sites???
Can you help?
Karen

the text below is stil valid ( editing depends on server settings) however it seems that joomla changed the user definitions.
[strike]Hi,
whether or not you can edit the feeds.php from the joomla administrator depends on your server settings.
For joomla 2.5 I had serious problems using the ftp layer to allow editin, got stuck and didn't find time to solve it.
Use a ftp client to edit the file.
I will try to make that more clear in the administrator.[/strike]

Hi Bram
What settings does the server have to have? I would have to pass this information onto my webhost for them to rectify? So in the meantime can you tell me the file path to the file ie feed.php, so I can edit it via ftp etc.
Thanks for all your help

Hi
the fix i made today should solve the issue in most situations.
Just if you are using joomla with the 'ftp-layer' enabled editing the file will still not work.
file is in
administrator/components/com_datafeeds/cron/feeds.php
