please update to the current version from the download.

if you do not want to upgrade the whole package fetch the files from

svn.brambring.nl/svn/xmlstuff/datafeeds/...s3/site/views/items/

Hi Bram

I have downloaded all the files from the link you sent me. svn.brambring.nl/svn/xmlstuff/datafeeds/...s3/site/views/items/
as its only a few files I thought ftp-ing them would not mess up all my page setting.

If I do - install 3.x latest is this the same.??
and would doing so reset every thing back to fresh start.? or just update??

On the downloads section there are 3 choices one is the full website
the other 2 are:
com_datafeeds 3.0 and the / "Latest" which was the one I thought I used.
but it has a warning: this is a development version..etc ..
you don't put a full version number or date .
I think this would help newbies like myself not to get confused on which 1 to choose from.

Thanks for all the help

installing the component over an existing updates the existing leaving all settings untouched.

In the past I had the automatic update feature of joomla, but somehow it never worked right. Maybe I will try it again. That will give you information in joomla about your version and the newest.

Hi Bram

Big thanks you are brilliant and thanks .
sorry for being a bit stupid but this is all very new to me .

If you have a manual or documentation this would be great.
the only trouble with forums every one has the same problem but calls
it something else so even though it was a solved problem I had no idea
what to look for ..

But am still getting 1 error the same one over and over again about 200 today.
how can I kill this error . I looked at the file controller.php @line 115 .

115 $db =&JFactory::getDBO(); what does this want ?

the only other reference to this

@ line 39 #$document =& JFactory::getDocument(); (in red type)

The Error:-
[15-Oct-2015 20:34:01 Europe/London] PHP Strict Standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in /home/a22cheap/public_html/components/com_datafeeds/controller.php on line 115
